PTSD & Stones; A Language Shared Beyond Time

When ones body has been tore open and explored
for what is killing them, recovering mentally does take time.

I had to allow myself to Quit
I Need an Outlet before I allowed the PTSD to take over

My outlet has been my stones
I have something others find they want
Creativity
Now, I've always known I was quirky before my accident
What came out over the recovery process is Magical!

I've learned that Healing begins at the molecular level
Medications Suck
and When one learns to quiet themselves we learn to Listen.
I hear the melody
I feel the texture
I never know what exactly is going to come out of the stone
Until it's done
Photobucket

Do You know,
That since I allowed myself to leave Working Society
Since I have given myself the OK to Not Be what others Expected
I have found a way to heal myself & Others by selling my Creations
Before I quieted myself, I had lessons to learn
I worked helping others recover
I worked as a Nurses aide
Lifting, Transferring, feeding, clothing, Providing laughter
Conversations, pats on the backs to others who NEED to feel alive.
I Gave my heart and energy to those who were trying to continue their life.
Every day basic needs, I was there with a Song in my heart.
Happy to be there, Until my day came.

Photobucket

Being a helper and actually getting the chance to be in their shoes.
Good Lord I never want to be there again!
I had to save myself
My Stones saved me from my own mental hell
It was a good lesson

Sun & Eagle Navajo Native American Design Sand Painting 1977

Sun & Eagle Kachina Sand Painting dated & Signed 1977
by Ernest Hunt
Story of the Painting hand wrote on back
Painting is approx 12x12 (measurements are approx.)
Not in New condition could use some cleaning up
I found this piece at a goodwill
I've no idea why goodwill Insists on Ruining pieces of art
By using a big Black marker to Price with.
I can not get the mark on the back off without removing the artists words
Clicking on the pictures will open a new window where you can buy this painting

Photobucket Photobucket

I Love The Native American Style Artwork I FIND!

A Medicine Man
Is the conclusion I have come up with
From all the research I have done.
This piece has a wooden board frame Securely Attached to the Painting
In Most of all sand paintings, the artist will write out the
Meaning of what their art is On the back side!
Well I can not pry the back off, Won't even try
Clicking on the picture will take you to the bonanza site where you can purchase this item

I am seriously considering making a black frame for this Piece
I'd love to see it under Glass!!
I'll update as I get around to doing it

Photobucket

Sand Painting

It is a Large Rectangular Piece, Artist is Unknown
Date is Unknown, Design is Unknown
What I do know is it is a Desireable Southwestern Native American Design
I do not know if this was created by a member of one of the branches of the Tribe
Your guess is as good as mine, The piece has been mounted to a Cottony feeling potato sack type fabric
And then mounted again to another piece of wood approx .1/2" thick
It would Look Fabulous If Mounted in a frame or even hung in it's existing state of being.
This is a used item, there is some sand that has chipped away and it should be cleaned up
But I've No idea how to do that, So It is of course sold as is,

I did recently get an offer on this sand painting
I did NOT take it :)

Any questions Please ask
Damage is as Shown

From some of the other Sand Paintings I have seen,
This one may be showing a Healing
Lightening bolts being emitted from the head, hands, midsection and feet
Co-relate to the Chakra system of the body
Most sand paintings have details on the backside of the picture,
The Mount is secured to the painting so I can not get it off to read
What the artist May have wrote.

I've Sold many Bookends Dog or Bear?

She was considered Trash

Photobucket

UPCyCLE!!

This beautiful Girl was considered An Unsellable
A man said
Are You sure You want this one?
She's really broken!
Don't Question My Purchases!
LOL
Someone else tried to fix her with some pink lumpy glue stuff
I had to scrape all of that off, file down the cracks and use my "Special" Glue
6000 series To Fix the breaks
Nothing like a Mosaic Puzzle to figure out
She's all fixed and 100%
But was still naked,,,,
I then took my special sewing glue ( Sewing is NOT one of my Talents )
and Patchworked her new outfit
Permanently to her body

Photobucket

The outfit may not be Perfect but it Looks great on her!
It has Charms, Chains, Feathers & More Embellishments
She does not come with shoes
Now, She is up and ready to find her new home
My favorite part of this doll is her face
How could I leave her behind!
I've never seen such gorgeously painted faces as on these dolls
She measures approx 20"
Face, Chest, arms & Legs are porcelain
Her body is a soft material
Clicking on her pictures will open a new window where She is able to be purchased At
(Wanna Know the funny part about this.... Dolls scare me!)
Photobucket

And to think she was considered Trash,
Amazing!
